A new favorite in the south bay!! =) Everything was excellent: food, service, decor.

Bread: crispy outside, chewy soft inside with spreadable butter!! artichoke appetizer: steamed artichoke with a smokey, aioli sauce side of creamed corn: this was more like a corn chowder (but i liked how it was lighter than i had expected)
bistro burger: Mmm.. juicy goodness with skinny fries, dessert was pear raspberry tart w/vanilla ice cream: it was good…but a bit sweet for my taste.

the bistro burger comes with fries. you can get fries of salad. we were splitting everything. the waitress told us that we could split it…and get half fries, half salad. wow. that’s like getting a salad for free since they still give you the same (lots!!) number of fries. no extra charge.

a little bit about paul martin’s american bistro. everything is made inhouse. they get whatever is in season from the farmer’s market so their menu changes with what’s available.

i wished it was a friday/saturday cuz they had a 3 course meal with prime rib. aw well..

things on the list to try:
short ribs
happy hour (weekdays): $4 drinks/appetizer from 3-6pm

i’ll definitely be back with an appetite to conquer tasting the menu.

I was here for lunch on a weekday. The staff was attentive and checked on us on a regular basis. Our beverages were always “refreshed” without us asking. As for the food, we had the calamari as appetizer. It was fried to perfection. Our party’s order consisted of the skirt steak with maple bourbon sweet potato and argula on top. I like my steaks rare and it came exactly as I asked. The other entrees were the smoked salmon salad and grilled prawns butter lettuce salad. Again, both were delicious and presentation was awesome. We also ordered the mac n cheese and creamed corn. Corn was fresh and mac n cheese was perfectly blended. To finish off, we had the red pear raspberry crisp. Our bill with no alcohol came to $85.00 for the three of us. Since it was my birthday, we splurged on the lunch and it was very nice. I would come back here again.

The atmosphere is awsome. We have been more than a few times and consumed at least a bottle of wine each time. I always want to try the three course meal, but the French Dip is too great to pass on. I have had it almost every time. The french roll, and horseradish-dill sauce make the sandwich. I highly recommend this place as one of the best places to get a meal and drinks for 2 for $70 or less.

Awesome food! Owners even better and very personable! We had a whole bunch of small plates and just shared and everything was scrumptious!

I enjoyed the straight forward american bistro using all natural and sustainable product . They have a very nice wine list and the pricing seems right on. The servers are well trained and knowledgeable of the food and wine. Best restaurant in the South Bay!

On Chow.com Paul Martin’s was recommended for our Fried Chicken, for some Healthy fare, and a must try in Roseville, CA.
