Yelp Reviews for Paul Martin’s American Bistro El Segundo Restaurant

Posted Date: October 15, 2009

Great fans-thank you for your awesome Yelp Reviews!

YAY! I’m a Fan of their Mojitos! I’ve been here twice, both times for happy hour with co-workers. The Raspberry Mojito is amazing!! Its not on the happy hour menu, but you can ask for it and they will charge you the happy hour price of $4 bucks, not bad right? I loved loved the fresh chunks of raspberry (i think, cuz it sorta looked like pomegranate, doesn’t matter it was yum!). The appetizer menu for happy hour is very limited, I had the chicken satay, it was alright…the salsa type concoction it came with was good!

Great place to go after work.

Came in for the first time last Friday and had an overall great night. The heirloom tomato salad and New York strip were pretty damn good. Vanessa took very good care of us and gave us a few good laughs. Overall, we’d definitely come back again.

We went here on Saturday night and it was quite crowded. I had made reservations online (an easy process!) so we didn’t have to wait.

We started off with the calamari. It was soooo good! The waiter explained to us that they soak the calamari overnight (in buttermilk or something like that) so that it gets really tender…and it works!

I had the Prawns & Linguini as my entree. The sauce was a lemon butter sauce and it was AMAZING! Just the right blend of lemon, butter, white wine. The dish came with two large pieces of bread that you can dip in the sauce. I loved this dish!

My boyfriend got the Bistro Burger and I had a bite. It’s a large size burger and the meat has good flavor. My sister had the Brick Chicken, and this was also good. Her husband had the ribs, and those were good.

We had the Peach & Raspberry Crisp for dessert. It’s a peach/raspberry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. It was good, but a little too tarty for my taste.

All in all, I thought the food here was fantastic. However, the although the service was friendly, it was slow! It took FOREVER for the food to come out and if we asked for something it would take them 10+ minutes to bring it. So, if you are on a time schedule, don’t go here.

I finally got a chance to try this place. The decor is nice but it is loud in side. The menu is not large but has quite a bit of variety. The server was wonderful as was the service. The food was wonderful. The quality of the ingredients just shined through. This is a must try place.

I was in last night at Paul Martin’s and i have to say it is the best restaurant I have ever been to! I had the all natural Pork chop with a great wine called Santa Barbara Pinot Noir. Brian was the most inspire server that I have ever had ,he was so informative of the food and wine . Great place that I highly recommend! It doesn’t get any better in the South Bay.

I really like this place! Everything is fresh on a daily basis and the food is prepared very well. Ive had their steak burgers and steak by itself and both were really good. The best part is their garlic fries! Mmmm…I eat here as often as I can.
