For some cool tropical jazz come to Paul Martin’s American Bistro Roseville restaurant. Breez will be entertaining on the patio this week, Thursday (9/1) and Saturday (9/3) evenings starting at 7pm.
Breez is a trio consisting of guitar, bass and percussion. Versatility is the hallmark of this trio, with the emphasis on "Latin and Romantic Jazz."
The vocal stylings of Ron Black, the percussionist, are truly exceptional and moving; and he is a well known blues artist. Joe Sandino, guitarist for the group, is classically trained. He has played in rock and country bands, and has for several decades been dedicated to jazz. Noel Sandino, is an accomplished artist and supports the sound with her solid bass playing. She is the perfect compliment for the band. The flamenco and blues sound along with the music of Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, George Benson, Arturo Sandoval, Carlos Jobim and others have influenced the Breez sound.
